So, I am sooo excited to share that I joined Weight Watchers again!! I canceled my membership when I found out I was pregnant. I really love WW & missed it SOO much throughout my pregnancy. I tried to maintain that way of eating but it's tough when you are used to tracking everything consumed & when you have hormones controlling your appetite. I am especially excited to discover, I can do my beloved WW while breastfeeding. I am so psyched to know that it won't have any effects on my milk supply.
While I have lost 26lbs, I still have a lot more to lose. I am jones-ing to get back to my Ballet Beautiful, as well. My tone has disappeared & I had to put that to the waist side, after awhile. I have not gotten the ok to workout yet, so I am waiting til my 6 week visit. I do believe the body needs time to heal & time for the organs & systems to readjust. Boy, I am excited though!!
Ballet Beautiful can be done in intervals of 15 minutes throughout the day so that works great around a busy baby schedule. Until I get the go ahead, I'll be walking with my LO a little over a mile a day. I'm not supposed to be walking but goodness, I am antsy & you'd have to pay me to sit around & not do anything.
I really look forward to getting my body back. I know it's only a little over 3 weeks & look good but I want to feel & look amazing, not just good or ok. : )
For anyone who is unsure about WW & BB, read a lil more below.
Weight Watchers is a very healthy way of living, type of diet. I don't even think of it as a diet because it really is the way we are meant to eat. Lots of fruit, veggies, lean protein, & smaller portions. It's based off of tracking what you consume, which is a very honest way of life. (it's too easy to forget what you snacked on & loose track by portions & hidden fats & calories). WW is tracking through a point system rather than counting calories. You also get extra points to use throughout the week for splurges or just whenever you feel like it. Your exercise, even cleaning gains you more points to consume.
: )
Ballet Beautiful is a way of working out by tightening & toning to develop long lean muscles. Mary Helen Bowers, the developer of BB trained Natalie Portman for Black Swan. I am a lover of Ballet & this workout. It looks easy but it is super tough. I always feel like I really took quality "me" time out of my day, to feel healthier & better. I love BB also because it involves a lot of stretching & low impact exercise. I don't have to get ridiculously red in the face for each & every beneficial workout. I love that BB is portable & can be done virtually anywhere. You can access it from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, computer, or by DVD. : )
Please know, I speak of Weight Watchers & Ballet Beautiful as my own experience & opinion. I do not gain any financial gain from either company.
In Rosy Gold Bebe, I will blog about makeup, skin care, being healthy, lady like fashion, pregnancy, baby, DIY crafts, home decor, and so much more.

Mani Monday...Happy Labor Day!!!
Hi Guys!!!
So, recently it was brought to my attention the "risk of pregnancy & breast feeding while wearing nail polish". I had heard of this but forgot about it. I did some research regarding the different brands I use. I discovered that my polish remover is concerning, so I am on the lookout for a natural remover. Until I find one and as discussed with both my daughter's pediatrician and my own doctor, I am not going to stress about it. I've been informed that because I am washing it off my hands before polish application & not handling her while it's immediately been used, she is in no harm & neither is my milk supply. I also researched nail polish & specifically the brands I use. Such as OPI, Essie, & Zoya. There doesn't seem to be any danger in those either. The cheap salons tend to carry the dangerous stuff.
As I'm glad I got to research this & found the whole kit & caboodle very interesting, I am relieved that I don't have a whole lot to worry about, as I love to polish my toes & nails. I also have a huge array of polish & would be devastated to have to restart my polish supply. I do plan to keep my life very natural & organic but know that I can not control everything & will do my honest best. I do accept that not everything I use will be organic & 100% natural but that's the way life is sometimes.
So, as it is a holiday & we were busy this past weekend with our lil one & the little bit of free time I did have, I was researching...it's a couple days of breathing for my nails. : ) It is always to good to let those puppies breath & nourish them with cuticle oil & plenty of hand lotion.
Happy Labor Day, folks!!!

Nursing
Hi there!!
As a new mom, there are a lot of questions that come to mind, while blindly entering this unfamiliar room. While taking on breastfeeding, I decided to go ahead and utilize a book recommended, for my daunting questions. I am loving this book, as it is more informative on the behavior of babies & breastfeeding. I am thoroughly enjoying it as it is opening my mind.....When I make time to read it, which is usually while breastfeeding. I love that I can jump around it too. It's not something I'd ever feel the need to read straight through, which never happens. Don't go into the room blindly & hope you can figure it all out. I totally thought the internet would suffice. I would totally recommend utilizing a Lactation Consultant or be prepared by attending La Leche League's meetings or read a book about it. I had to get more facts & information on my own. I had too many unanswered questions & decided to dive in.
The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding By La Leche League International.
I've also endured Lansinoh Disposable Breast Pads, which I'm not all that thrilled with. They were great when I leaked colostrum in my 7th month, as I didn't need pads in all the time. Since I am nursing so constant & have made this a prominent piece of my routine, I wanted reusable pads. My favorite reusable breast pads are La Leche League's & these natural organic cotton kind. La Leche, I love for going out & the Organic for everyday. La Leche's are formed as a cup. The Organic are flat & very form fitting.
I'd love to get your nursing feedback. Please feel free to comment below or email me at vanessaslosson@gmail.com

Mani Monday
It's a more classic, conservative look for the week. Today, I did Zoya's "Erika" nail polish. The photo doesn't do the color justice..the color is a bit more golden pink than seen. I kept this weeks' look simple because I was in a time crunch. As, Pipa has been gassy, I had to give myself a mani the other day & cram in my paint job, when possible. I hope you treat yourself to a mani. : )
Have a great day!!!
Have a great day!!!
