Baby Shower Hostess Gifts

I really wanted to do Baby Shower Hostess Gifts, as I saw the amount of money, time, & work put into my Baby Shower.  It is hard now a days, times are tough for everyone.  So with a budget in mind & wanting to find a special gift that most people would not treat themselves too.  I went with Anthropologie.com.  I LOVE Anthro!!!  They have the cutest, kitchy, chic stuff ever!! It was really hard deciding amongst all the amazing items.  I decided on these adorable aprons because I am obsessed with their aprons & what woman wouldn't love getting a cool apron?!!  Then I got these fun picture frames too.  I ordered a professional photo of Pippa & put it in the frame.

I hope they are enjoyed, as I brewed on this for a bit & really wanted something special to show my appreciation.

Thanks again ladies!!!!!

Mani Monday

Hi all...it's a new week & a new mani!!  Check out my mani with Wet 'N Wild Mega Last Salon Nail Color in Bite the Bullet.  This was a great cheapy ($1.99), the brush is nice & minimizes any clean up around the cuticle & skin, it wears great...plus the color was to die for!!!  : )

Happy Monday!!

Cozy Fall Weather = Joffrey Ballet, & Christkindl Market Upon Us!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!  Fall is upon us granted, here in Chicago we are enduring a beautiful Indian Summer.  I am thoroughly enjoying this weather & thrilled that I get to dress my lil one in the 0-3 month summer clothes, she didn't fit into when she born.    As I looked at Gap.com for warmer clothes for the chillier months upon us, I began to think about all the fall & winter fun that lies ahead.

I love this time of year for the cozy clothes, warm soup, pretty fall leaves, but mostly for my volunteer work with Joffrey Ballet & venturing to the Christkindl Market.  If you did not know, I volunteer for Joffrey Ballet & am a true ballet lover.  I adore everything ballet!  I can not wait to work Joffrey's Nutcracker show & see the performance.  They really do a beautiful job.
Of course with that in mind, the Christkindl Market is a great time too.  Christkindl Market is a pre-Christmas festival that originally takes place in Germany, but for Chicagoans, the heart of the loop, downtown Chicago.  There is hot wine, yummy soup, potato pancakes, weiner schnitzel, brats, and mid-day crepes.  There are tons of little booths set up for selling desserts, handmade goods, ornaments, nutcrackers, and things of that nature.  I love to pick up a loaf of Stolen, for toasting & smearing with butter, for breakfast.  I also love getting my favorite German Chocolate & day dreaming about all the beautiful Nutcrackers, I can add to my growing collection.  If you have never been, you must go.  The weekends are crazy unless you get there before it opens or enjoy supper on a weekday.

Amongst pumpkin patches & beautiful fall strolls through the neighborhood, & of course, my always beloved Halloween, I am really looking forward to all the family fun & festivities that come with this lovely time of year.

Old Navy Haul

I got some things from Old Navy to wear until I can totally fit into my regular clothing & who can resist a few fun fall accessories! I really focused on some basics that would be great for around the house but also while out & the need to breastfeed, might arise.  I wanted to get some button downs that would help keep my breastfeeding somewhat private out in public, hence the chambray top down below.  The 2 tees I got are super soft & comfy!   The sweatshirt/sweater looks amazing with a dark denim pencil skirt & my leopard minnetonkas (I wore this for our 1st date night/Jay's bday dinner without the kiddo) & a red lip.  : )  The star ballet flats have a pointed toe and are super cute.  They definitely need to be broken in.  The navy fedora can add a bit of flair to just about any outfit.  : )
I have to try to be somewhat stylish otherwise I'll feel like a total mope & can't have that otherwise I'll become down & out, being home all the time with the kid....and a kid that is literally attached to me all day due to no naps.  : /  LOL!!

Hope you are having a great day!!  Stay Stylish!
